HELP Symposium

HELP - overview

The biannual HELP Symposium is designed to bring awareness to the needs of the Pacific Island communities and the efforts of our HELPers to engage in community-based projects that impact their education and help our people.

All presentations are free and open to the public. There are limited seating so we encourage everyone to register early. A limited number of parking passes will be available to the community members who pre-register online.

The Spring HELP Symposium features the graduating seniors from UH Manoa’s Pacific Islands Studies Program who will present their community-based research project among the Pacific Islander communities on Oahu. The keynote presenter will be Dr. Denise Uehara our researcher who will talk about the preliminary findings from the UH Hilo research on Pacific Islander students at UH Hilo.
